Explore the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art
Whether you’re here on a quick business trip or an extended stay, you absolutely should not miss your chance to visit the extraordinary Museum of Contemporary Art, which opened in October of 2017. Wausau’s Museum of Contemporary Art is located in the heart of downtown Wausau, and features works by internationally established artists from coast to coast. Currently on exhibit are a collection of Samantha French Paintings, on display until June 29, 2018. In July, a new exhibit called Painting the Figure Now will exhibit works that investigate the many ways we see the human figure today. The Museum has also recently put out a call for artists to participate in their 2nd Annual National Juried Exhibition, which has a cash prize of $11,000. Winners will have their art displayed in the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art starting in October.
