Where to Find the Best Antiques in Wausau
Antique Shows are an excellent place to find high quality and unique vintage goods. Wausau is home to two of Wisconsin’s best antique shows, and one of them is coming up in November. The annual Wausau “Park” Antique Show takes place the 2nd weekend in November, this year November 11 – 12, 2017. The show is held at the historic Marathon Park, and it’s the perfect place to get a start on your holiday shopping. Midwest Dealers bring their best vintage finds, some of which are only available for this show. There are always an incredible variety of items, including beautiful furniture, art originals, Native American articles, jewelry, pottery, hand tooled metalware, watches, stoneware, Holiday items, toys, trunks, textiles, and so much more. If you love this Antique Show, then mark your calendar for the next Wausau Show, taking place February 10 – 11, 2018, which will feature over 50 antique dealers.
The November Antique Park Show isn’t the only place in Wausau to go searching for antiques. Our town is also home to several unique stores, including:
- River District Antiques
- Antiques by Ginny
- The Farmer’s Daughter
- Rice’s Antiques & Architectural Salvage
- Jackie’s Antique Mall on Brown
- Hazel Home Art and Antiques
We love antiques at the Stewart Inn Boutique Hotel. Our home is a beautifully restored 1906 Prairie style mansion designed by George Maher. In fact, the Stewart Inn is among the world’s most intact examples of George Maher’s architecture, who is considered to be one of the founders of the Arts and Crafts movement. Inside, we feature original chandeliers, sconces, decorative fireplaces and stained glass windows, all incredible antiques in their own right. If you’re looking for some of the finest antique goods, come to the show in Wausau this November. While you’re here, consider staying at the historic Stewart Inn, Wausau’s most luxurious lodging available. Book your room today!
