• About Us

Our goal – provide bed and breakfast hospitality within a luxury downtown boutique hotel and wedding venue

Sara is a native of South Central Wisconsin and a Badger fan through and through. (Suffice it to say, she Bo-lieves)! Sara has a bachelors in English Literature with a minor in Philosophy from UW La Crosse and when not assisting with the Inn works in healthcare. Sara enjoys cooking, fine wine, nature activities, yoga, meeting interesting people and listening to public radio.

Together, Randy and Sara ran the top rated bed and breakfast in Wisconsin prior to opening the Allyn Mansion in the Lake Geneva area. Their first bed and breakfast, Pleasant Street Bed and Breakfast, was one of only seven “diamond collection” properties in the state and the first two suite “diamond collection” property in the world. They were consistently recognized for their warm hospitality, great food, clean rooms and outstanding concierge services.

At the Mansion, Randy strove to provide the same bed and breakfast like experience within a luxury boutique hotel. It was a big transition moving from two rooms to eight rooms and having a full-time staff, not including massage therapists. But it was also a great opportunity to grow as a marketer and as a businessman. While the first couple of months were rough, Randy proved himself worthy. The cherry on the cake was perhaps being voted “Best in Walworth County” after the first full year of operation.

Filling out the family, Randy and Sara have four young adult children, two in college, one at 3M and a fourth working at Apple. All four are neat individuals with eclectic interests ranging from studying Chinese to playing jazz music to finance to all things automotive. They get along amazing well and offer tremendous support of their parents’ entrepreneurial endeavors.

Not to be forgotten is Randy and Sara’s loving dog, Wil. Wil is a beautiful Springer Spaniel with a welcoming heart for all. But given his proclivity for shedding, slobbering and attention-seeking, he is kept upstairs in the innkeeper’s quarters.
